Acting on international films

Alexandre Ottoveggio spent time studying at acting schools in both Paris and Rome. After a few years of training, he began securing acting roles, ranging from small parts to supporting and leading roles. His multilingual abilities—fluent in French, Italian, English, and Arabic—became a valuable asset in his career. His first significant role was portraying the renowned French boxer Marcel Cerdan in Larbi, or the Fate of a Football Player. This was followed by a role in Road to Kabul and numerous other projects, solidifying his presence in the film industry.

Alongside his acting career, Alexandre Ottoveggio took on various roles in the film industry, gaining hands-on experience in different aspects of production. He worked as a casting director for the TV series Shaka Zulu, starring Oliver Reed and Grace Jones, and contributed to Furia, featuring Marion Cotillard. He was also part of the special effects department on Black Hawk Down, where he observed and learned from industry veterans.

Spending years on set, studying the filmmaking process firsthand, Alexandre realized that if he wanted to tell his own stories, he would have to take matters into his own hands. Understanding that no one would simply "discover" him, he dedicated himself to mastering every aspect of filmmaking—cinematography, editing, sound design, color grading, and camera work. These skills became the foundation of his journey as an independent filmmaker.

Inspired by the work of John Cassavetes, he embraced the world of low-budget, indie filmmaking, determined to create films on his own terms.
