Behind the Scenes
The Beginning of Alexandre Ottoveggio’s Filmmaking Career
Alexandre Ottoveggio started his career behind the camera in the Hudson Valley, New York. His first films — On the Road to You, Paradise River, and When It’s Not Your Time — were made with small teams and big dreams. These early projects taught him the power of images and emotion.
He was fascinated by cinematography and spent hours studying how light, color, and movement could tell a story. Working on different sets, Alexandre learned from experienced filmmakers and absorbed everything he could about directing, shooting, and editing.
As his passion grew, he began working on films across Europe, continuing to develop his own style — one that combines American storytelling with a European sense of mood and beauty. From the start, Alexandre’s goal was simple: to make films that feel real, emotional, and deeply human.
